The
Westview Family
OUR
PASTOR
Pastor
Paul Glendenning and his wife, Bobbie, are PK's (Preacher's
Kids) and thus have been involved in "church work"
since childhood. Each was intimately involved in music
as youth and sang in college choirs and small choirs.
Married in 1969, they taught school for two years, then
as Song Evangelists, ministered in thirty-eight states,
singing for revivals, camp meetings and concerts for
the next eight years. The couple have two married married
sons, who are also in ministry and two teenagers, Larry
and Rose, who are still at home. Rev. Glendenning has
been a pastor for over 20 years, the last three of which
have been at Westview.

Our
Demographics--Many
of our members are seasoned adults whose children are
now raising families of their own. They have been the
foundation stock of this congregation--retired farmers,
teachers, administrators, business men and women, factory
workers and homemakers--and are still a vital part of
the ongoing ministry of the church. A smaller proportion
of our constituency provides a cross-section from singles
to middle-aged families. Every generation has its distinctive
place: the wisdom of our elders, the energy of our juniors
and the excitement of our teens and children.
|
Our Aspiration--We
endeavor to tap the strengths of each individual to
give them an opportunity to serve the Lord in a community
of believers and enjoy the fulfillment that comes from
doing so. You will find the Westview family to be warm
and genuine in their faith toward God and in their interaction
with long-time friends as well as with those who come
to worship for the very first time. Our desire is to
be a place of safety and compassion.
|
| Our Challenge--Though
the Word of God is expressed with conviction and without
apology, the Love of God is expressed without reservation.
Our joy is not in our own accomplishments, but in the
person and example of the Lord Jesus Christ, whom we serve
with joy. |
